As a part of the O.P. Jindal Gramin Jan Kalyan Sansthan activities, sewing centres have been running over the years in Haryana. These centres provide women a platform for skill development enabling income generation, and personality development. A six-month sewing course is offered free of cost, and certificates are provided on completion of the course. There are currently 56 centres, which are functional.

To make these centres sustainable, and for income generation for women trained here efforts are made to develop private sector partnerships, to identify their needs, and then map those needs with the sewing centre products. This would help ensure sewing centres turn into profit centres. Currently, production and sale of polypropylene bags is going on in 5 centres.
